Detecting Digital Dermatitis to Better the Health of Our Herds

Focused on strengthening animal health insights, our foot camera serves as an ongoing research initiative powered by advanced imaging technology. Positioned at the unloading chute, the system captures video of cattle as they move through and uses AI modeling to identify each animal and evaluate hoof condition in motion.

This analysis helps detect digital dermatitis, commonly known as Hairy Heel Wart, at an early stage. The goal is to better understand herd health trends and share meaningful, actionable information with our producers. By turning data into insight, this project supports proactive care strategies that can improve animal well-being while enhancing efficiency and productivity across our producer network.
